Real Madrid boss José Mourinho has ruled out a swoop for Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale after insisting he does not want another left-sided player.
The Wales international has been a revelation at White Hart Lane since switching from full-back to a midfield role with his performances attracting the interest of a host of Europe's top clubs.
Mourinho has been strongly linked with a move for Bale, but the Portuguese tactician claims he is not currently in the market for the 21-year-old following the growth of Brazilian wing-back Marcelo.
"Madrid are constantly being linked with this player and that player but I want to say that I do not want another left-winger," Mourinho told Spanish television station Gol T.
"Marcelo now has offensive quality and defensively he is growing.
"I didn't like anything about Marcelo when I arrived because I thought he could do everything but defend but now I am a lover of his."
