Tragedy struck on Saturday in Honduras as unknown gunmen attacked a group of people playing soccer, leaving at least 14 dead.
According to reports, the armed killers drove up to the soccer field in two cars and opened fire on players, the referee and spectators.
Honduras police are currently investigating the situation further, and at this time they are not currently releasing the victims' names.
Currently, the police are moving forward with a working theory that massacre could be the result of gang wars.
The attack took place in San Pedro Sula, a poor neighbourhood of the city known for being home to hundreds of gang members with a reputation for violence.
San Pedro Sula, Honduras' second-biggest city, was the scene of another bloodbath in September when armed men attacked a footwear factory and killed 17 people.
Six youths were slain in a home last month, also in San Pedro Sula.
