Table of Contents
Arsenal made maximum points after two Champions League Group H matches thanks to a 3-1 success at Partizan Belgrade.
Andrei Arshavin broke the deadlock in the 15th minute after linking up well with Jack Wilshere, but Cléo levelled from the penalty spot before half time after Denílson handled the ball inside the area.
The momentum then swung back Arsenal's way when Marko Jovanović was dismissed for fouling Marouane Chamakh inside the area, but Arshavin's poor effort was saved by Vladimir Stojković.
But Chamakh restored Arsenal's lead in the 71st minute when nodding in the rebound after his initial header hit the woodwork.
Sébastien Squillaci headed in the third with eight minutes remaining before Łukasz Fabiański pressed his claims for a regular place in goal by brilliantly saving another Cléo penalty late on.
