Dutch international striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar completed his transfer from AC Milan to ambitious Bundesliga side Schalke 04 on Tuesday.
Huntelaar looked on his way out of the San Siro for much of the transfer window after failing to pin down a regular first-team spot in his debut campaign with the Rossoneri.
Huntelaar said on his personal website, klaasjanhuntelaar.com: "I'm very happy with my transfer to Schalke.
"It's a great club with a beautiful stadium. The fans in Germany are very passionate and the Bundesliga is an excellent league.
"I was already following the Bundesliga when I was still a little boy. The league has only become better in the past couple of years.
"I've developed into a better striker in my years with Real Madrid and Milan and I'm ready to show the fans what I'm capable of."

And the 27-year-old has now opted to ply his trade in Germany with Schalke following the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimović from Barcelona which seems to have limited his first-team opportunities.
