Samuel Eto'o fired his first Champions League hat-trick in over five years as Inter Milan brushed aside Werder Bremen 4-0 at the San Siro.
Eto'o put Inter ahead in the 21st minute after being fed by Esteban Cambiasso and doubled his tally with a low finish after running onto a long pass from Lúcio on 27 minutes.
The striker turned provider in the 34th minute as he released Wesley Sneijder with an incisive pass before the Dutchman coolly slotted the ball over the onrushing Tim Wiese.
And Eto'o completed his treble nine minutes from the end as he rounded Wiese to slot home after Sneijder's defence-splitting pass.
