It's the moment all mobile gamers and soccer fans have been waiting for: Cristiano Ronaldo finally has his own iPhone app.
The Real Madrid ace stars as himself in the Ronaldo Soccerade Freestyle 2010 app which charts the superstar's rise from honing his skills on the beaches of Madeira to the world’s best player.
The app offers both an arcade mode where you can try to recreate his playing style, as well as other features that act as more of a portal into the world of Ronaldo.
As well as trying to complete the game, users of the app will also also have access to exclusive Ronaldo videos through the ‘Ronaldo Updates’ section of the app, with one video featuring the 25-year-old performing his range of tricks in his own back-garden.
The game is brought to you by Soccerade, the official energy drink of Ronaldo, and TalentNation.com, home of his online locker, and designed by X11 Apps, a London-based mobile technology studio with a focus on game and business applications development.
The app plugs into the OpenFeint network which means that gamers will be able to compete against players from around the world on a global leaderboard and post their high scores to their social networking website.
The app is available to buy from the iTunes App store for $1.99, and will soon be released on the Android & Symbian marketplaces too.
