Fiorentina came from behind to beat Bari 2-1 and move above the Galleti into seventh in Serie A.
The visitors took the lead in Florence with Paulo Barreto firing home on the half-hour, but Adrian Mutu made sure the scores were level at the break.
José Castillo was then on hand to grab the winner for Fiorentina on 74 minutes but he was shown a red card 10 minutes from time, with Bari's Sergio Almirón already dismissed for two bookings.
