Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger believes that Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney can make his mark in a foreign country.
Real Madrid sporting director Jorge Valdano ruled out moving for the 24-year-old this week over concerns he couldn't play in Spain.
But Wenger, not for the first time, has a different opinion to Valdano.
The Frenchman told the press: "Frankly, I think Rooney can play abroad.
"I believe he has all the ingredients of a modern player, plus the British attitude and commitment.
"He is coming to the best age now. Before maybe he was bit too keen. Now he is more relaxed.
"I don't question his talent at all. He can play anywhere in the world."
