Several Manchester United stars, including Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen, spread some Christmas cheer this week by delivering gifts to sick children.
Rooney and Owen dropped in at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital along with a host of other players, including Patrice Evra, Gary Neville, Jonny Evans, Park Ji-Sung and Gabriel Obertan.
They thrilled patients with presentsand posed for pictures with them.
The visit was part of United's commitment, through the Manchester United Foundation, to 'use the passion for the club to educate, motivate and inspire young people to build a better life for themselves and improve the communities they live in.'
This year is the first occasion the team have visited the facility.
The English champions have helped to raise more than £80,000 for beds in the hospital so parents can stay close with their sick children at Christmas.
Jenny Yates, Corporate and Indivual Fundraising Manager for the New Children's Hospital Appeal, said in The Daily Mail: "It was a fantastic day for everyone at the hospital and all the children were delighted to meet their heroes.
"It made our first Christmas at the new site a very special one."
