Premier League: Everton 2-0 Burnley

James Vaughan's first Premier League goal for over two years helped Everton to secure a 2-0 victory over 10-man Burnley at Goodison Park.

Burnley's chances of nicking a first away win in the top flight this season were hampered in the 62nd minute when left-back Stephen Jordan was sent off for second bookable offence.

And Everton made the visitors pay on 83 minutes when substitute Vaughan smashed the ball home at the back post after Marouane Fellaini's cross eluded Yakubu.

Pienaar then made sure of the win in injury-time as the South African took a pass from Yakubu to blast home the second.
