Reigning champions Barcelona suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at home to new boys Rubin Kazan.

The Russian side took the lead after just 75 seconds as Aleksandr Ryazantsev ran onto a loose ball and hit a rocket past keeper Víctor Valdés.

Zlatan Ibrahimović got his side level three minutes after the break after two Barça penalty appeals were waved away.

But Gökdeniz Karadeniz silenced the home crowd when he hit an angled winner past Valdés in the 73rd minute.
