Champions League Group H: Standard Liège 2-3 Arsenal
Table of Contents
Arsenal produced a stunning comeback as they came back from two goals down to win 3-2 away to Standard Liège.
The Belgian champions were 2-0 up inside five minutes following goals from Eliaquim Mangala and Milan Jovanović's penalty.
But Nicklas Bendtner's first goal of the season just prior to half-time handed the visitors a lifeline after what had been a hugely unconvincing first period from the Premier League outfit.
Thomas Vermaelen leveled matters on 78 minutes and three minutes later Eduardo kneed the ball in from a Cesc Fàbregas corner to grab all three points.
