The image of two soccer players kissing during a goal celebration in Saturday's league game in Honduras has attracted substantial morbidity throughout the country.
But Beckeles, who scored the first goal of Vida's 2-2 draw with Deportes Savio, insists he did not kiss his partner despite the image is clear.
"I'm a little upset about what was published and more to the picture, since it harms us in our working relationship and family," Beckeles said to La Prensa.
"I have not kissed my partner and I will never kiss a man. I think it's all a misunderstanding."

Brayan Beckeles and his Vida team-mate Orlin Peralta was seen in the image published by Honduran newspaper Diez doing the Diego Maradona and Claudio Caniggia goal celebration style, hugging and kissing on the mouth.
But Beckeles, who scored the first goal of Vida's 2-2 draw with Deportes Savio, insists he did not kiss his partner despite the image is clear.
