Table of Contents
Tottenham Hotspur maintained their 100 percent starts to the new season thanks to a 2-1 victory over Birmingham City at White Hart Lane.
Substitute Peter Crouch headed Spurs into the lead on 72 minutes when he nodded in a Tom Huddlestone cross from an acute angle.
Incredibly, the visitors were back in the game two minutes later as Lee Bowyer pounced on defensive hesitation from Spurs substitute Alan Hutton and goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini.
However, Tottenham hit back with virtually the final kick of the game as tiny winger Aaron Lennon grabbed a dramatic late winner following a howler from ex-Spurs star Steven Carr.
