Moyes: Lescott going nowhere

Everton manager David Moyes is determined to retain the services of England defender Joleon Lescott at Goodison Park, amid interest from Manchester City.
The Toffees confirmed on Tuesday that the club have turned down a formal transfer request from Lescott.
The 26-year-old asked to leave Everton in the hope of securing a double-your-money deal with the big-spending Eastlands outfit.
Lescott, whose current contract runs until the summer of 2012, has been the subject of two rejected bids from City this summer, for £15 million and £18 million.
"Joleon Lescott put in a written transfer request this morning which I immediately rejected," Moyes told the club's official website.
"We will continue to work with him as we appreciate his many qualities as a player.
"I have said all along that I have no intention of selling my best players.
"Joleon is simply not for sale."
