José Mourinho is delighted with at the capture of Wesley Sneijder from Real Madrid but was hoping the midfielder would have arrived at San Siro earlier this summer.
The Dutchman completed his €15 million move to Inter Milan on Friday morning, becoming Mourinho's fourth summer signing following the arrival of Diego Milito, Thiago Motta and Lúcio.
"Sneijder completes my team," the Special One told the press.
"I just hoped he would come earlier. It would have been fantastic if he had a month and a half to prepare.
"I asked for a central defender, a midfielder, an attacking midfielder and a striker. I got everything now and I am happy.
"Now we have a new team, with a great potential, but we will need time. Still we should be more balanced than last year."
