Barça defender Martin Caceres joins Juventus on loan

Martín Cáceres has joined Juventus on a season-long loan from Barcelona with an option to sign the Uruguayan defender on a permanent basis next summer.
The 22-year-old, who made only 13 appearances in all competitions for the Catalans last season, is already in training with his new teammates and passed his medical, but Barça waited until last night to confirm the transfer had been completed.
"FC Barcelona and Juventus have reached a deal for the one-season loan of Martín Cáceres," read a statement on www.fcbarcelona.com.
"The Italian club will have an option to buy the defender for €11 million plus €1 million based on objectives achieved."
Cáceres becomes Juve's fourth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Fabio Cannavaro, Diego and Felipe Melo.
