Sevilla have signed Ivory Coast midfielder Didier Zokora from Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year-old agreed to a four-year contract with the Spanish side, which includes a €30 million release clause.
Zokora has been a long-term target for Sevilla, but the two clubs were unable to settle on a sum for his services.
"Zokora was our main objective for this season," Sevilla sporting director Ramón Rodríguez Monchi said on www.sevillafc.es.
"He's a player who works a lot, who runs a lot, physically he's a wonder who covers a lot of the pitch, he's very versatile.
"He is what we needed to complete the excellent midfield that we already have."
