Stuttgart to splash 'extraordinary money' on Huntelaar

VfB Stuttgart chairman Erwin Staudt has claimed the club are prepared to spend big in order to sign Real Madrid striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
Huntelaar was not part of the Real squad that travelled to Dublin on Monday for their pre-season training camp as his future remains up in the air.
The Dutch international is believed to be surplus to requirements at the Bernabéu just seven months after arriving in Spain and Stuttgart are in the market for a new striker after selling Mario Gómez to Bayern Munich.
"Extraordinary players require extraordinary investments as they cost extraordinary money," Staudt told Stuttgarter Zeitung.
"We will not be buying a substitute because we are also developing very good players in our own academy.
"We need a key player, a top-class man for the future.
"Such signatures require time and money, and we are willing to invest time and money into buying this player."
