AC Milan have made an official offer for Sevilla striker Luís Fabiano, confirmed the player’s agent.

The Rossoneri are in the market for a target man and had made VfL Wolfsburg's Edin Dzeko their No 1 target.

But after Wolfsburg rejected the bid for the Bosnian hitman, it seems Fabiano has emerged as Milan's top transfer priority.

Fabiano, who has scored 22 goals in 31 appearances for Brazil, has one year left on his current contract, which contains a €30 million buy-out clause.

"Milan have made an official offer to Sevilla for Luís Fabiano," José Fuentes, Fabiano's representative, told SKY Italia.

"The player has already said he wants to play for Milan next season. I don't know how much the bid amounts to, but there is this important and official offer on the table.

"Now it is up to the Rossoneri and Sevilla to reach an agreement, then my client and I will speak to Milan.

"The buy-out clause on his contract is €30 million, but Luís Fabiano has concluded a four-year cycle with Sevilla and now Milan represent a big opportunity for him.

"I repeat, the player has publicly stated he wants to join Milan, now it is up to the two clubs to strike a deal.

"I think it will take two to three weeks, but no more than that."
