Fernando Torres wants Xabi Alonso to stay at Liverpool

Fernando Torres has warned that selling compatriot Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid would be a "serious loss" for Liverpool.
Alonso has been strongly linked to join the Real revolution this summer and has indicated that he would be open to the possibility of a return to his homeland.
He has been valued by Liverpool at around £35 million, but the big-spending Spanish giants have reportedly offered less.
It is believed Reds boss Rafa Benítez has threatened to pull the plug on negotiations if Los Merengues do not meet the player's tag price before the weekend.
"It would be a bad piece of work if Xabi left," Torres told The Sun.
"He plays his cards close to his chest so I don't know what is going to happen.
"I'd put Xabi's own wishes ahead of everything else, of course, but he's got three years left on his contract with us and I'd love it if he stays.
"It would be a serious loss for Liverpool if he left this summer."
