David Beckham has revealed that he would consider consider a return to the Premier League.
The 34-year-old had previously said he would never play for an English side other than former club Manchester United.
But the England international has now claimed he would ponder a move back to his homeland if it would increase his chances of playing in next year's World Cup.
Beckham said: "When I left United I said I would never want to play for another English club.
"My heart was in Manchester - and I couldn't see myself wearing another shirt in the Premiership and playing against United.
"Now I wouldn't rule it out."
Beckham is currently back in America where he has rejoined his team-mates at LA Galaxy after a short loan spell with AC Milan.
He added: "Obviously Milan expressed that they want me to go back, so I don't see any reason why that would change.
"We'll have to wait and see. I hope to be going back there."
