Carlos Tévez: I snubbed Real Madrid

Carlos Tévez has claimed that he had the opportunity to join Real Madrid, but instead opted for a move to Manchester City.
The Argentina striker swapped Manchester United for arch rivals City this week, signing a lucrative five-year deal after his two-year loan spell at Old Trafford expired.
"Real made an offer but there was no agreement," Tévez told The Nation during City's pre-season tour to South Africa.
"There were talks about deals and agreements but in the end it was only City. They showed lots of interest in me and are intent on growing and signing big players.
"I am sad to leave United but I am excited to join City. I'm thinking about the future and I will grow with this club."
