Samuel Eto'o closes in on Inter Milan switch

Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o is on the verge of signing a deal to join Inter Milan, according to his agent.
Inter are keen to land the Cameroon international as part of a swap deal that would see Zlatan Ibrahimović head to the Camp Nou in exchange. The Serie A champions will also receive €45 million and Aliaksandr Hleb on a season-long loan.
Eto'o's representative Josep Maria Mesalles has met with Inter officials to discuss personal terms and is hopeful that a transfer can be finalised.
"We still have to work a lot," Mesalles told reporters. "But I am optimistic, the agreement is close.
"Eto'o wants to come to Inter and he is very happy to come to Inter. We have taken a lot of steps forward."
