Wesley Sneijder insists he has "no intention" of leaving Real Madrid this summer despite being linked with a move to England.

Speculation has suggested the Dutch midfielder could find himself surplus to requirements at the Bernabéu following the capture of Kaká and Cristiano Ronaldo in big-money deals.

But Sneijder, who joined Real from Ajax in a €27 million deal two years ago, hopes to stay with the Spanish giants and play alongside his new team-mates.

He told AS: "I have no intention of leaving Real Madrid.

"Nobody called me to speak about that and what I want to do is stay at Madrid. They paid a lot of money for me and I want to succeed with this club.

"Right now, I am pretty much relaxed and cannot wait to get back to work.

"To play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaká or Franck Ribéry is an honour for every player."
