FA Cup final: Chelsea claim fifth title

Chelsea secured their fifth FA Cup title after beating Everton 2-1 in the final at Wembley.

Everton attacked right after the kick-off and they took just 25 seconds to break the deadlock.

Steven Pienaar looked to be offside when he received the ball in the left-wing, but he was allowed to play on and drop back to cross into the area. Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien headed out the ball, but it wasn't cleared properly and Marouane Fellaini headed it over to Louis Saha, who drilled a first-time effort past Petr Čech and inside the near post from 16 yards.

The strike was the fastest ever goal in an FA Cup final, beating Bob Chatt's 1895 mark by five seconds.

But Chelsea quickly regained their composure and were back on level terms on 21 minutes when the unmarked Didier Drogba headed home Florent Malouda's left-wing cross.

The winner for Chelsea arrived 18 minutes from time as Frank Lampard turned Phil Neville on the edge of the area before rifling a left-footed drive beyond Tim Howard.

Malouda almost grabbed a third for Chelsea when his ferocious strike from distance bounced back off the bar and appeared to land over the line before Howard recovered to catch the ball.
