Ukrainian and German teams booked their place in this year's UEFA Cup final after Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kiev along with Werder Bremen and Hamburg set up domestic semi-final showdowns.

Shakhtar will face compatriots Kiev in their first ever European semifinal after defeating former European champion Olympique Marseille 2-1 to ease through 4-1 on aggregate.

Shakhtar built on their 2-0 home win in last week's quarter-final first leg by going ahead through Fernandinho after 30 minutes.

Hatem Ben Arfa leveled on 43 minutes, slamming home a rebound after an initial downward header was saved well by goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov.

The visitors went ahead three minutes into second-half stoppage time when Luiz Adriano poked the ball through Steve Mandanda's legs.

Earlier, Kiev won 3-0 at home to ease past Paris Saint-Germain.

Meanwhile, Bremen beat last Italy’s hope Udinese 6-4 on aggregate, which sees them set up an all-German semi-final with Hamburg, who were beaten 2-1 at Manchester City but still advance 4-3 on aggregate.

The semifinals are on April 30 and May 7, with Bremen and Kiev are at home first.

The Germany vs Ukraine final will be on May 20 in Istanbul.
