The equaliser arrived on 55 minutes when Ben Foster, deputising for Edwin van der Sar, failed to claim Teemu Tainio's cross under pressure from Kenwyne Jones, and the striker stabbed the ball into the empty net.

With Steven Gerrard starting on the bench, it was left to Fernando Torres to inspire the title chasers and he took just five minutes to conjure a contender for goal of the season. He chested down Jamie Carragher's long pass and hooked a fierce volley from the right angle of the box into the top far corner.
The home side increased the lead on 33 minutes when Torres outjumped Christopher Samba to powerfully head home a free-kick from fellow Spaniard, Xabi Alonso.
Daniel Agger made it three with seven minutes remaining, blasting a swerving left-footed shot past Paul Robinson from just outside the box.
Substitute David N'Gog completed the scoring in injury-time as he nodded home from point-blank range.

And the game appeared to be in safe keeping when Drogba netted his second from close range after a goalmouth scramble.
Lampard and Drogba were withdrawn and it was time for the Bolton fightback.
Bolton reduced the deficit through Andy O'Brien on 70 minutes before substitute Chris Basham added a second four minutes later and then, amazingly, Matt Taylor made it 4-3.
There was drama deep into injury-time as Deco cleared off the line from Gary Cahill with virtually the last kick of the game to deny Bolton one of the most sensational comebacks in Premier League history.
