Pavlyuchenko has no plans to exit Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has brushed aside rumours linking him with a move away from the club, insisting that he is happy at White Hart Lane.

The Russian international joined Spurs from Spartak Moscow last August and has scored 13 goals in 31 matches, albeit only four of those coming in Premier League matches.

And, despite he fallen behind Robbie Keane and Darren Bent for a place in Premier League Tottenham's attacking line, Pavlyuchenko insists he is staying put.

He told Sport Express: "I do not pay attention to those who say my career with Spurs is over.

"All players, even the greatest ones, have to sit on the bench at some point, but only those who didn't give in to the circumstances got back in the main team.

"I'll work hard and by all means make it back into the starting line-up. Tottenham supporters could have no doubt about that."

Pavlyuchenko added: "I realise that even if I'm given just 10 minutes on the pitch, I must score. That is my aim.

"I feel really good and my form is perfect. I didn't play in the last three games of the Premier League and the reason is that our other forwards are doing well.

"When a player scores and his team wins, no manager will substitute him. It's hard to return to the first team in such a situation.

"I need to work hard in training and catch the smallest of chances to return into the main squad."
