Wayne Rooney netted two late goals as England eased to a 4-0 international friendly victory over Slovakia at Wembley.
However, Fabio Capello must face a possible striker crisis ahead of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Ukraine, as Emile Heskey and his replacement Carlton Cole both went off injured in the first half while Peter Crouch, who came on for Cole, followed them to the treatment room late on.
The Three Lions opened the scoring after just seven minutes when Heskey turned home a Steven Gerrard low cross to score his first England goal in almost six years.
The Aston Villa striker injured his hamstring in the process of scoring and he was replaced by Cole on 15 minutes.
But Cole lasted only 21 minutes on his second appearance as he had to follow Heskey off with a groin strain after just 21 minutes on the pitch, Crouch the sub for the sub.
David Beckham came on for his record-breaking 109th England appearance at the break, surpassing Bobby Moore's record haul for an outfield player.
Crouch thought he had scored just after the hour when his header from Beckham's free-kick looked to be bobbling into the net. But captain John Terry then decided to force it over the line - from an offside position.
Rooney finally added England's second as he headed home a fine Beckham cross on 70 minutes.
Crouch limped off 17 minutes from time before Frank Lampard stroked home England's 500th Wembley goal to make it 3-0 in 82nd minute.
And Rooney crowned a sensational evening with a chipped effort in injury-time.
