Genoa laugh off Spurs' Milito bid

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has told Tottenham Hotspur £10 million would only be enough to buy the ear of striker Diego Milito.

Milito has been in sensational form this season, scoring 16 goals in 25 appearances for Genoa in Serie A.

His form has attracted interest from several big clubs, with Spurs and Inter Milan mooted as interested parties.

However, Preziosi reckons his star would not even want to move to White Hart Lane.

He said: "Milito has already refused Tottenham in the past. They offered him a lot more than Genoa ever could.

"The £10 million bid from Spurs is ridiculous. For that figure I would only give an English club the ear of Milito."

Milito rejected Spurs last summer before he chose to rejoin Genoa from Real Zaragoza, having left the Grifone in 2005 when they were relegated to Serie C1.

Preziosi, though, has refused to rule out cashing in on the Argentine, if Inter make a huge bid.

"Milito has an important contract with us," Preziosi added. "But if Inter present a major offer to the player then it will be hard for us to match it.

"Also, if a big offer comes Genoa's way then we will have to sit down and discuss it."
