It appears that David Beckham has his wife's blessing should he end up in the world's 'fashion capital' a while longer.

The England midfielder has settled in well since his move to AC Milan, and has hinted several times he is eager to make the loan move to Serie A permanent.

And it appears his wife, Victoria, is in favour of the idea.

"I am happy because I know he is happy at Milan," she told the Italian edition of Vanity Fair magazine.

"It's great to see that he has already started to score goals in your tournament. I jump for joy whenever David scores a goal.

"I like Milan a lot. I know so many people there, especially in the world of fashion: Dolce and Gabbana, Armani and his staff, Cavalli, Berardi.

"The city is vibrant, full of energy and passion. You eat well. There are no reasons not to appreciate Milan.

"People wrote I wouldn’t set foot in it because of the pollution, but I never said anything like that."
