Arsène Wenger and José Mourinho, in separate occasion, has applauded the decision of Kaká to snub the advances of Manchester City.
Brazilian star Kaká has decided to stay with AC Milan, ending talks of a record-breaking transfer to Eastlands.
And Arsenal boss Wenger admitted Kaká's decision was the best thing that could happen to football, but conceded it was rare to see a player make such a choice.
The Frenchman told setanta.com: "The good thing in the decision of Kaká is that he has put the sport in front of finances and that is good for the fans and the game. But you will only have one case out of 20 like that.
"I know Kaká’s contract at AC Milan quite well and he is not in special need."
Meanwhile, Mourinho also hailed Kaká's decision to remain in Serie A with the Rossoneri.
"I am happy that Kaká didn't go there," he wrote in the Sunday Telegraph. "I want the best players to be in my league. I want my league to be as strong as possible and of course Kaká is absolutely top.
"It would have been very, very bad for Italian football if Kaká had left Serie A.
"When a player like him decides to join City it will be because they have proved there is a big project; because I don't think a player like Kaká is going to leave a club like Milan because of one euro more or one euro less."
