David Beckham made his Serie A debut with AC Milan in a 2-2 draw with AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
The England midfielder was expected to start on the bench but Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti caused a surprise by including him in the starting line-up and lasted until two minutes from time.
Roma took the lead after 22 minutes when John Arne Riise's perfect cross found Mirko Vučinić inside the box and he turned past Marek Jankulovski before firing home.
The visitors hit back shortly after the interval as Kaká's pass from the left towards the far post finding an unmarked Alexandre Pato who made the easy tap in.
And Pato put the Rossoneri ahead five minutes later when he got past Philippe Mexès before surging inside the area and lifting the ball over Roma goalkeeper Alexander Doni.
The home side continued to struggle and Juan made a crucial clearance inside the area with Kaká ready to strike Milan's third.
But Vučinić grabbed his second of match when his flying header inside the area leveled the scores in the 72nd minute.
Beckham was substituted by Mathieu Flamini in the closing stages as Milan denied their first away win since October 26.
Juventus closed the gap on Serie A leaders Inter Milan to four points thanks to an unconvincing 1-0 home victory over lowly Siena.
Claudio Ranieri's men were made to work hard for the win as Siena prevented Juve from mounting any attacks.
The home side created only few chances and a trademark free-kick from Alessandro Del Piero was enough to put the Bianconeri ahead 12 minutes before the interval.
Del Piero had the chance to seal the win when he was released by Amauri in the second half, but he lacked the accuracy he had shown with his first-half free-kick and fired into the side-netting.
