Dimitar Berbatov 90 |
Dimitar Berbatov fired reigning champions Manchester Unitedto the top of the Premier League after his last-gasp winner secured a 1-0 win over Bolton at the Reebok Stadium.
United now lead Liverpool by a point, with the Reds not in action until the Merseyside derby on Monday.
The clean sheet also saw the Red Devils equal Chelsea's top-flight record of 10 consecutive shut-outs.
Even without injured striker Wayne Rooney, United had plenty of chances but were defied by Bolton goalkeeper Jussi Jääskeläinen.
Cristiano Ronaldo twice forced Jääskeläinen into an excellent save with a stinging low free-kick.
Another superb save from the Finnish stopper denied Anderson, who had let fly from 30 yards.
The match looked set for a draw but Carlos Tévez wriggled free with the clock showing 90 minutes and he picked out the unmarked Berbatov, who stooped to head beyond Jääskeläinen.
Frank Lampard scored an injury-time winner in his 400th appearance as Chelsea completed a dramatic comeback to snatch a 2-1 victory over battling Stoke.
The Blues dominated possession throughout the match but were again finding it difficult to break down their opponents.
An inspired display from goalkeeper Thomas Sørensen had kept Chelsea at bay, before Stoke shocked the Stamford Bridge crowd on the hour mark when James Beattie's deft touch slipped in Rory Delap who lifted the ball over Petr Čech to give the Potters an unlikely lead.
But the pressure eventually told, with substitute Franco Di Santo heading across goal for fellow substitute Belletti to head a dramatic late leveller.
And deep into stoppage-time, Lampard struck a deflected to winner to send Stamford Bridge into raptures.
