England boss Fabio Capello was satisfied by David Beckham's latest performance for AC Milan, but insists he has not yet decided whether to select Beckham for next month's friendly against Spain.

Capello was in the stands at the San Siro on Wednesday night to watch the former Three Lions skipper in action for the Rossoneri.

Beckham scored from a trademark free-kick in the 1-1 draw with Genoa and was given a rousing reception from the club's fans when he limped off 20 minutes from time with a groin problem.

However, Capello was not sure he would call up the 33-year-old for the match against Spain, which would see Beckham match Bobby Moore's record number of appearances for an outfield England player.

Speaking at an awards event in Milan, and quoted by Corriere dello Sport's website, Capello said: "I still have to decide, but I am satisfied about Beckham's performance yesterday, he seems to have improved compared to the last few games.

"I was at the San Siro to check his performance and before that I had sent my assistants. He seems well integrated in the Milan team."

Capello also brushed aside the question of whether Beckham would be included in his plans for next year's World Cup in South Africa, by which time the midfielder would be 35.

He said: "First we have to qualify, then I will think about who to select."
