Scholes: I would rather stay at home

Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has admitted he would rather be back home playing for Premier League points rather than half way around the world competing for the FIFA Club World Cup.
The veteran player has only recently returned following knee surgery at the end of September and has joined the rest of his team-mates for the trip to Japan.
The former England star highlighted the problem his side could face once they return from the Far East as they try to make up for lost time in the quest to retain their Premier League crown.
United will face a busy schedule in January as a result of competing in the FIFA tournament, and by the time they get back current league leaders Liverpool could have stretched their lead over the champions to nine points.
"It's a big competition and we want to win," admitted Scholes.
"But obviously, we'd probably rather be here, playing our league game and not have so many fixtures in January like we've got.
"It's one of those things. We managed to win the European Cup last year and sometimes afterwards you have to do things maybe you don't want to do."
