Thierry Henry bagged his second hat-trick in La Liga as Barcelona swept aside Valencia 4-0 and stretch their unbeaten run to 20 matches.

Henry, in one of his best performances away from Arsenal, gave Barcelona the lead with a fine lob after 20 minutes before curled in a second eight minutes later.

Daniel Alves made it 3-0 just after the break and Henry completed his hat-trick in the 79th minute to leave Valencia eight points adrift of the leaders.

The win leaves Barça stay at the top of La Liga with 35 points, while Valencia, which lost for the first time on the road, have 27.

Earlier, Giuseppe Rossi scored a late equaliser for Villarreal to salvage a 3-3 draw against Getafe, and Atlético Madrid produced only their second away league win with an emphatic 5-2 victory over Sporting Gijón.
