Juventus moved level on points with Inter Milan at the top of Serie A after a comfortable 4-1 win over Genoa at Stadio Olimpico.
The fixture was brought forward to an unusual Thursday night time slot because the stadium will be used for the rugby international between Italy and Argentina at the weekend.
Zdeněk Grygera put Juventus ahead after just six minutes when the Czech defender cut in from the right flank and fired his shot into the far post past Rubinho from a tight angle.
Grygera then provided an appetising cross that Amauri headed home for the hosts' second goal in the 26th minute.
Vincenzo Iaquinta made it 3-0 with five minutes remaining after latching onto a no-look pass from Alessandro Del Piero before placing his shot beyond Rubinho.
Diego Milito, who had a goal wrongly ruled out for offside, cut the deficits four minutes later from the penalty spot, but an own goal from Sokratis Papastathopoulos in stoppage time restored Juve's three-goal lead.
Juventus and Inter are tied with 24 points each, while Genoa remained with 20.
