AC Milan have announced that veteran striker Filippo Inzaghi has signed a new deal with the club.

The 35-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a new deal keeping him at San Siro until 2010.

Although he has seen his first-team opportunities limited this season by the arrival of Ronaldinho, Andriy Shevchenko and Marco Borriello, he has still managed three goals in six matches.

"I am happy, truly happy," he told the official club website, www.acmilan.com. "Between me and this club, between me and these colors, there is a relationship that goes beyond everything else."

Inzaghi moved to Milan from Serie A rivals Juventus in 2001 and has been prolific since the switch, scoring 103 goals in 222 matches.

Super-Pippo has won two Champions League titles and one scudetto with the Rossoneri.

"The greatest night was in Athens, without a doubt," he said of the brace in Milan's 2-1 win over Liverpool in the 2007 Champions League final.

"I will never forget that night. It is a feeling that still lives within me and I know it was also very important for all our fans."
