Gerrard and Lampard ruled out of England squad

Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard have both been forced to withdraw from the England squad ahead of Wednesday's friendly with Germany.
Liverpool stated on Sunday that Gerrard would be unavailable after picking up a groin injury in the club's 2-0 victory at Bolton on Saturday.
England asked Gerrard to report for duty but the FA's medical staff concurred with the diagnosis and sent him back to his club.
And Lampard is the latest big name to be ruled out after scans on a rib injury he picked up at West Brom on Saturday revealed he would not be fit enough to be involved at the Olympic Stadium.
Fulham's Jimmy Bullard and Scott Parker of West Ham have been called up as replacements.
The likes of Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Emile Heskey and Joe Cole are also absent through injury, but skipper John Terry is likely to start the match.
There is little surprise that, with Wigan striker Heskey injured, boss Fabio Capello has again left out Michael Owen.
Capello has also dropped David Beckham as the former England captain hasn't played competitive football since the Los Angeles Galaxy failed to reach the Major League Soccer playoffs.
The Italian gaffer said he would like to use the friendly to experiment with some of the players from the under-21 squad and that means a possibility for Chelsea's defender Michael Mancienne to make his debut.
The 20-year-old has yet to play for the Blues' first team and has been loaned to Wolverhampton Wanderers after two seasons at QPR — but has impressed with his displays for England U-21s and Wolves.
