Diego Maradona has announced he will make his debut as coach of Argentina in a friendly match against Scotland in Glasgow on November 19.
Maradona has not yet been officially confirmed as the new coach, as the Argentina Football Association (AFA) board must ratify his appointment at a meeting next Tuesday.
However that is considered a simple formality, and the 48-year-old expects to be in charge of the national side for next month's encounter with Scotland.
"I will travel to England on Saturday to watch (Carlos) Tévez and (Javier) Mascherano play," Maradona said. "And in Scotland I will make my debut."
Maradona confirmed his team will be "as strong as possible" for the friendly match, meaning the likes of Tevez, Mascherano, Juan Román Riquelme and Kun Agüero should be involved.
