The draw for the 54th Champions League was held in Monaco on Thursday.
32 teams from 17 nations were divided into eight groups of four with each club plays all the others at home and away for a total of six matches.
The first round of matches will start on September 16 and 17 with the final in Rome at Stadio Olimpico on May 27.
The draw has produced some fascinating matches in the group stages.
Two-time champion and seven-time runner-up Juventus must face record nine-time champion Real Madrid on its return to the competition after a two-year absence.
Five-time champion Liverpool will meet Spain's Atlético Madrid, which means a return to his former club for Liverpool's star Fernando Torres.
While reigning champion Manchester United were drawn in Group E with Scottish champion Celtic, which knocked them out of the competition two years ago.
