New AC Milan signing Ronaldinho has chosen a surprising selection of No 80 shirt for the upcoming season.
Dinho was known as R10 since he wore the No 10 shirt at his former club Barcelona and Brazilian national team.
However, at Milan that number is belong to Clarence Seedorf and the Dutchman is not willing to give it up, with the club vice-president Adriano Galliani saying that no one at the club would force a player to relinquish a shirt number.
Ronaldinho refused the No 11 shirt that has been left by Alberto Gilardino after his departure to Fiorentina.
Instead, the two-time FIFA World Player of the Year has selected for the No 80 shirt to represent the year of his birth.
The club's official website reported that the demand for Ronaldinho replica shirts is overwhelming and they are expecting record sales of personalised shirts. Adidas, the club's shirt manufacturer, said they have already received 11,000 pre-orders for the new star's replica shirts.
